Justin helps clients resolve commercial disputes whether in litigation, arbitration, mediation, or pre-proceedings. He has a strong focus on marine and international trade matters, and also handles non-contentious work in that sector. He is fluent in Mandarin and his matters often bear a PRC element.

Justin acts in charter/bill of lading, offshore and ship financing disputes for Clubs, owners, charterers, traders, and financiers. In recent years this has more often included insolvency-related matters and enforcement.
 
Outside the marine and international trade sector, Justin's high-value commercial disputes experience includes shareholders', aviation, and construction disputes. His arbitration experience includes arbitrations both ad hoc (such as on LMAA or UNCITRAL or SCMA rules) and institutional (such as SIAC, LCIA, HKIAC, CIETAC, KLRCA (now AIAC)).
 
Justin's career began as an advocate & solicitor in Singapore, focusing on marine and international trade disputes in the leading local practice. Subsequently Justin joined an international firm in Hong Kong. He is qualified to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong and in England & Wales. He returned to Singapore in early 2018.
 
In recent years, Justin has also been handling cryptocurrency-related disputes. These include disputes related to coin issuance, consultancy arrangements, and cryptocurrency funds.
